Currently Reading…

The Sandman Series.
I’m currently on Vol. IV — so far I’ve found the series fascinating, and being further into it I can sort of see what Adam meant by getting really into it in the 4th book… back story: I enjoy graphic novels, but tend to go for more memoir-esque/biographical/historical styles…  Anyway, one day at Adam’s while waiting around for him, he suggested I start the series… a few days later he dropped the first two books in my lap for me to borrow.

I spotted it not too long ago on the bookshelves and thought this would be a great book for me.  I’ve only heard minimal information regarding the removal of predators and the loss of mega fauna, so this has been an interesting read for me.
I think there’s a lot we don’t know about the consequences of our actions here… and this is a major one.

Picked it up on a whim, and read it occasionally.  It’s got some decent essays — one of which is also on the removal of predators and mega fauna…  But also on robots and religion and other things.  Most of the essays are written well, not too sciencey which is nice.
My favorite might be the one about Zonkeys.

Just Finished…

Well, Sandman Vol. I – III …

Things I’ve started… (recently)

Hocus Pocus – Kurt Vonnegut, Jr.
Welcome to the Monkey House – Kurt Vonnegut, Jr.
Peony In Love – Lisa See
Dry – Augusten Burroughs

I have a habit of starting books and just giving up for the time being.  It’s not that I necessarily dislike the book, it’s more of it can’t hold my attention long enough to finish it.  And that’s either because it’s boring or because there are too many distractions.

Things I’ve finished…

This list is way too long.  If you want to suggest a book, just do so… if I’ve read it I’ll let you know.
